If Armenia does this, there will be no obstacles: Aliyev
The capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, is ready for honest cooperation with Armenia. This was stated by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev during the international conference "Towards a New World Order," as reported by TASS.
"In 2022, Yerevan and Baku began discussions on a future peace agreement with the mediation of Russia, the USA, and the EU. At the end of May 2023, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that Yerevan was ready to recognize Azerbaijan's sovereignty within the Soviet borders, meaning including Nagorno-Karabakh. On September 19, 2023, Baku initiated military operations in Nagorno-Karabakh, which lasted about a day. As a result, Azerbaijan restored its territorial integrity," he said.
The president of Azerbaijan also outlined his expectations from Armenia. "I have repeatedly stated publicly what we expect from Armenia regarding territorial integrity and their Constitution. When that is done and a peace agreement is signed, there will be no obstacles," Aliyev concluded his speech.
