Wolves Extinct for 10,000 Years Have 'Returned to Life'

“Give me a point of support, and I will move the Earth” is a famous quote attributed to the scientist Archimedes. Today’s scientists are provided with DNA, and they can resurrect animals that disappeared long ago.

Researchers have successfully given 'life' back to the terrifying wolves that vanished 10,000 years ago. An American startup has announced the first successful 'resurrection' of the dire wolf, as reported by Time.

Using ancient DNA, scientists have decoded the genome of the species. Then, with the help of surrogate mother dogs, three pups named Romulus, Remus, and Khalesi were born.

The American company has also announced that it is beginning work on resurrecting the woolly mammoth and the Tasmanian tiger.
