China to Take Decisive Measures Against the US

China will undertake decisive countermeasures to protect its rights and interests if the United States tightens its tariffs. This was reported by Xinhua agency, citing a spokesperson from the Ministry of Commerce of China.

These comments in China came after the United States threatened to impose an additional 50% tariff on Chinese goods, which the spokesperson stated that China firmly opposes.

According to the department, the countermeasures adopted by China are entirely legal actions aimed at defending the country’s sovereignty, security, and developmental interests, as well as maintaining the normal international trading order.

The ministry's spokesperson added that “the so-called reciprocal tariffs against China by the US are unfounded and a form of unilateral intimidation,” as stated in the publication.
