Trump's Condition for Europe
Ofelya
The United States will not negotiate changes to tariffs with Europe unless they pay us significant amounts of money every year. This was stated by US President Donald Trump, as reported by The Guardian.
“Europe wants to come to the negotiating table, but that will not happen until they start paying us significant amounts of money every year—both for today and for the past, because they have taken our wealth, and we are no longer going to allow that,” Trump said.
The United States cannot afford to lose $1.9 trillion in trade. We cannot allow that, especially while spending even more on NATO to protect European countries. We are covering them militarily while simultaneously enduring trade losses,” Trump added.
