Trump Should Be Hit on the Nose with a Fist: Politico

The European Union is looking to respond to the 20% tariffs imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump's administration. This is reported by Politico, citing diplomats.

According to EU sources, Brussels detests tariffs and would prefer to avoid escalating trade relations with Washington. However, most EU countries are currently taking steps to grab Trump's attention. "This is a classic case of engaging with the school bully. One must hit Trump on the nose with a fist," stated a European diplomat.

According to Politico, foreign ministers from EU countries will discuss strategies for retaliatory measures at a meeting in Luxembourg, as well as certain sectors of the American industry with which Europe wishes to impose tariffs.
