Putin Bans Advertising on Instagram and Facebook

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law banning advertising on foreign or international organizations' informational resources that have been deemed undesirable in Russia, as well as on the resources of companies recognized as extremist and banned in the country. This ban applies to Instagram and Facebook.

Based on the 'Counter-Terrorism' law, in the event of a court decision to dissolve or ban the activities of a public or religious organization, the dissemination of advertising on such an organization's internet resources is also prohibited.
