Intense downpours have caused devastating floods in central states of the United States, leading to at least 16 deaths, as reported by CNN.

According to the Storm Prediction Center, around 41 million people are currently at risk. The heavy rainfall has triggered emergency evacuations and road closures. On Saturday alone, there were over 6,000 flight delays and widespread power outages.

Forecasters have described the relentless three days of rain as unprecedented for this storm season.
