Chess Knight in Transit: Tense Situation in Kotayk Province

Residents of the Prowshyan and Kasakh communities have blocked the Yerevan-Ashtarak road since early morning today. The citizens are protesting against the reduction of transport lines 25 and 59, and a new, more expensive route.

They oppose the new route being serviced by 'Multitrasport' company at a cost of 250 and 200 drams. 'We have become like a chess knight in transit, now they are taking this away, what are we supposed to do?' residents expressed.

A group of red berets is present at the protest site. The Chief of Police reported that until the issue is resolved, route number 25 will continue to operate.
