The U.S. Is Not in School, We Don’t Need Friends: Fox News Anchor
American Fox News host Jesse Watters has called during his program for the U.S. not to fear its allies and has stated the usefulness of nuclear weapons, recalling Japan, which became a loyal ally of Washington thereafter.
"The favors we have shown to other countries have put us in a lot of problems," Watters said, adding that every country should prioritize its own interests above all else.
According to the American TV star, the U.S. can conduct business with other countries if their interests align. "If not... that’s life," the journalist noted.
He then suggested that the U.S. may need to "burn a few bridges" in its relations with Denmark in order to acquire Greenland. Watters sees nothing wrong in this. "We dropped atomic bombs on Japan—now we have no more loyal ally in the Pacific," he stated.
The TV host expressed the view that perhaps now it is time to "burn a few bridges" to build a new great and beautiful bridge for the next generations of Americans.
"America is free from the burden of history. Trump knows what we need to do," Watters concluded.
