Iran Warns the US
The Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has warned that U.S. President Donald Trump's military methods and threats of strikes cannot solve Iran's nuclear issue. "Everyone should be clear that, by definition, there is no concept of 'military option,' let alone a 'military solution,'" the diplomat wrote on social media.
He reminded that "the catastrophic failures in the region, which have cost previous U.S. administrations more than $7 trillion, are sufficient evidence." Araqchi also emphasized, "Diplomatic engagement has worked in the past and can work again." He added that ten years after the signing of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) regarding Iran's nuclear program, and seven years after the U.S. withdrawal from it, Washington has "no evidence" that Tehran has violated its commitment to "never seek, develop, or acquire nuclear weapons."
