Earthquake of 6.2 Magnitude Strikes Japan

An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 has struck near the shores of Japan. The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre has reported the incident.
The epicenter was located 54 kilometers southeast of the city of Nichinan, on Kyushu Island, which has a population of 44,200. The source was found at a depth of 14 kilometers.
There are currently no reports of casualties or damage. No tsunami warning has been issued.
