8th Grader Stabs Two Classmates in Russia: TASS
An 8th grader has stabbed two classmates and fled the scene. The incident occurred at one of the schools in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, reports TASS.
Witnesses included other students who recounted the event. According to them, the attack happened during a Russian language class. Halfway through the lesson, 14-year-old Maxim pulled out a knife from his backpack and stabbed two of his classmates, 14-year-old Kostya and 14-year-old Artyom.
The injured students were taken to the hospital. One sustained a stab wound to the abdomen, while the other was struck in the neck. Their conditions are assessed as moderately serious.
Preliminary reports suggest the teenager attacked his classmates because they did not want to befriend him. The reasons for the conflict are being investigated. He has been arrested.
