The Consequences Could Be Catastrophic for the Entire Region: Russian Foreign Ministry

Moscow considers Washington's threats to use force against Tehran to be unwarranted and condemns such tactics. This was stated by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov in an interview with the magazine "Mezhdunarodnaya Zhizn".

"The threats are indeed audible, as are the ultimatums; we consider such methods to be unwarranted and condemn them, viewing them as a means to impose one’s will on the Iranian side," Ryabkov said.

He emphasized that Russia is against coercive decisions, aggression, and strikes. "The consequences, especially if the nuclear infrastructure is targeted, could be catastrophic for the entire region. I am not even referring to the ramifications concerning Tehran's actions, which Iranian counterparts also openly and clearly discuss. Therefore, while there is still time and 'the train has not left,' we must double our efforts to reach an agreement on a reasonable basis. Russia is ready to offer its services to Washington, Tehran, and all those interested in this matter," the diplomat stated.
