European Commission Transfers Significant Funds to Ukraine

The European Commission has transferred another tranche to Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility program. This was announced by Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, according to European Pravda.
“The European Commission has noted our country’s commitment to implementing reforms on the path to full EU membership. I should also mention that overall financial assistance under the Ukraine Facility mechanism has reached €19.6 billion. These funds will help the country maintain macroeconomic stability in the future,” said Shmyhal.
Ukraine's Minister of Economy Yuliia Svyrydenko also reported that of the €3.5 billion received, €3.1 billion is concessional loans and €400 million are grant funds.
