U.S. President Donald Trump has accused Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky of refusing to sign an agreement regarding mineral resources with the United States. This was reported by The Telegraph.

During a press interaction on Air Force One, the U.S. President said, “He is trying to back out of a rare minerals deal, and if he does, he will have big, big problems.”

The latest version of the mineral resources deal would allow the U.S. to access Ukraine's oil, gas, and mineral reserves through a joint investment fund, with the revenue to be shared between the two countries.

Zelensky stated on Friday that he would not sign the agreement with the U.S. if it threatens Ukraine's potential membership in the EU, as there have been reports that the agreement could contradict EU economic sovereignty regulations.
