Erdogan is Dangerous, Says Israeli Foreign Minister

The Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar has addressed the protests occurring in Turkey in support of Istanbul's opposition mayor, Ekrem İmamoğlu, via a post on X. He specifically noted that everyone saw how Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan acted with Pikachu.

According to ermenihaber.am, Saar stated, "Everyone saw his true face. Tyrant Erdogan has revealed his anti-Semitic face. As is evident these days, Erdogan is dangerous both for the region and for his own people. We hope that the countries of the NATO alliance will understand this as soon as possible."

Following the remarks from the Israeli Foreign Minister, Turkey's Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a written statement rejecting the 'rude and arrogant' comments of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government. These baseless accusations are part of the efforts to cover up the crimes committed by Netanyahu and his allies.

The statement emphasized that this stance deepens concerns that Israel will accelerate the 'genocide' it has perpetrated in Gaza and will intensify its efforts to destabilize other countries in the region. Additionally, it was underscored that Turkey will continue to stand by the citizens targeted by Israel and defend their rights.

In response to the series of statements, the Israeli Foreign Ministry cited Turkey’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stating, "What is troubling Turkey's Foreign Ministry? Here is a way to clarify the tyrant's words: Make it clear that Erdogan is not anti-Semitic and that he harbors no ferocious hatred against the Jewish state. Everyone knows what Erdogan has done to the nations and peoples of the region—from Cyprus to Syria. Everyone sees what he is doing to his people (Pikachu), and everyone knows what they want to do to the Jewish state."

It’s worth noting that the famous Pokémon Pikachu participated in protests in Antalya, which has become a trending topic in Turkish media. Videos and photos have circulated showing Pikachu fleeing from police alongside protest participants.
