U.S. Responds to Putin's Proposal

Washington bases its stance on the belief that governance in Ukraine should be carried out according to its constitution. This was stated by a representative of the White House National Security Council (NSC) while commenting on Russian President Vladimir Putin's remarks.

Previously, Putin had mentioned the possibility of external governance in Ukraine by the UN for conducting elections.
