Cooperation in Group Halted Due to Two Factors: Zakharova
Cooperation between Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Russia in the specialized working group for unblocking transport and economic ties in the South Caucasus has been halted for two reasons. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
“We see the destructive influence of Western countries, and we also see that the position of the Armenian authorities often raises questions for us, and due to these two factors, cooperation in the group has been halted,” she said.
According to her, Moscow is confident that the resumption of full cooperation in the working group as soon as possible will not only contribute to the restoration of the transport and logistics system in the South Caucasus, allowing it to integrate into broader schemes of cargo transportation from Europe to Asia and vice versa but will also ensure further socio-economic development for Armenia and the entire region.
