Zelensky Understands That His Days Are Numbered: Lavrov

We need clear guarantees, considering the sad experience of contracts with Kyiv, the guarantees can only come from Washington, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during a press briefing, as reported by RIA Novosti.

“We need clear guarantees; I believe our American partners have received this signal. Europe is insulting the decision made regarding the analysis by the U.S. President and his team, which states that the issue must be discussed and resolved without NATO territories. Europe continues to discuss the mythical rearmament for hundreds of billions of euros during a time when they are in a very difficult situation, economically and socially,” he stated.

Lavrov also mentioned that prior to a meeting in Riyadh, the Americans wanted to place Ukrainians and Russians in adjacent rooms to carry out behind-the-scenes diplomacy, after which some unified text would be published. “We noticed this, and therefore we once again explained that no one will accept any unfounded documents anymore. Zelensky understands that his days are numbered, and his bright image, as he has built it in the people's eyes, has long faded. Despite serious disagreements with the U.S., we have resumed dialogue. Such dialogue is necessary, and not only Ukraine is discussed,” concluded Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
