Zelensky Accuses Russia of Manipulation Amid Negotiations
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has accused Russia of manipulation while interpreting the terms of the ceasefire agreement in the Black Sea. This has been reported by DW.
“Unfortunately, even now, on the very day of negotiations, we see how the Russians have started to manipulate. The Kremlin is lying again, claiming that the ceasefire regime in the Black Sea depends on the issue of lifting sanctions,” he stated.
He labeled as false the Kremlin's assertion that the ban on attacks on energy infrastructure came into effect on March 18 and warned that if Russian forces continue to attack Ukraine, the Ukrainian military would respond with strikes.
The USA, Ukraine, and Russia have issued statements regarding the outcomes of the negotiations in Riyadh. The three texts are generally similar but differ in details. All three countries mentioned the Russian-Ukrainian ceasefire in the Black Sea, the ban on attacks on energy facilities by Moscow and Kyiv, and the willingness for further negotiations.
