Doctors to Lose Licenses for Fake Disability Certificates

The draft amendments to the law on the "Assessment of Citizens' Functionality" have been presented to the Parliament by Petros Martirosyan, the head of the coordinating office for the activities of inspection bodies under the government of Armenia.

If any doctor included in the disability commission is found to have issued three incorrect conclusions within a year, the Health and Labor Inspection Body will inform the Ministry of Health. There, it will be determined whether these errors were dependent on the doctor or not. Based on this, the Ministry of Health will decide whether to revoke the doctor's license or not.

Additionally, the inspection body will present the incorrect conclusions of social workers to the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, which lead to the improper allocation of benefits.
