Thousands of Arrested Protesters and Many Injured Police Officers: The Situation in Turkey
Approximately 1,100 people have been arrested during ongoing opposition protests in Turkey, and 123 police officers have been injured. This information was disclosed by Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya.
"During the protests, 123 police officers were injured. In the course of these actions, sulfuric acid, stones, wood, explosives, hammers, axes, and knives were seized. Judicial actions are ongoing against those who attacked the police, damaged public property, and threatened public safety," he stated.
According to Turkish media, 100 people were arrested just yesterday.
