Baku Has Always Resort to Provocations: Deputy Foreign Minister
In the past, whenever we made a step forward, there have always been complications and provocations from their side. Sometimes it appears as if we take two steps back; this is not a new modus operandi. This was stated today during a press briefing with journalists by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Paruir Hovhannisyan.
The Deputy Foreign Minister also discussed the responses received, noting that already 58 countries and 10 international organizations have welcomed the process, many highlighting Armenia's important role in this matter.
“We also announced that we are ready to discuss all processes related to signing. There has been no response to that announcement yet,” Hovhannisyan stated.
He also responded to the observation that Azerbaijan's actions and statements have become more aggressive recently. “This is not a new trend. Both last year and the year before, there were numerous similar statements claiming that Armenia was violating the ceasefire and engaging in certain actions. Now, certainly, we have a very important tool: the observers, who responded in this case as well as previously. The international community understands that false statements do not contribute to any positive process.”
