Ranos Responds to Decision to Leave the National Team of Armenia
21-year-old forward Hrant-Leon Ranos has responded to the decision to leave the national team of Armenia by head coach John Van't Schip.
“All those who know me, know that playing for my country, Armenia, is the greatest honor possible for me. Confident in the confidentiality of my conversation with the national team coach yesterday, I wanted to discuss my situation. I wanted to inform him that I am ready, feeling good and fully motivated to play and help the team. To my surprise, the coach told me that he has no hopes to rely on me in the upcoming game. This, of course, made me very upset. Since getting playing time is very important for me at the moment, and I had no prospects of receiving it, I agreed to return to Kaiserslautern to prepare for the next game. And we decided this together. I would like to emphasize that there is nothing better for me than playing for my country, Armenia, and that will always be the case,” Ranos wrote on his social media page.
