The UEFA Nations League 2024/2025 transitional playoff round match has started at the Dinamo Stadium in Tbilisi. In the first match held on March 20 in Yerevan, the Georgian team triumphed with a score of 3-0. The Georgian national team is fighting to maintain its place in League B, while Armenia aims to advance from League C.

Additionally, Armenian fans gathered in downtown Tbilisi at 16:00 to support their team ahead of the game against Georgia. Fans of the Armenian national football team marched through Tbilisi before the decisive playoff game in the Nations League.
The march reached the Dinamo Arena stadium while waving flags and singing songs. It is worth noting that the attendance of Georgian fans at the match in Yerevan was a record for an away game, with about 3,000 Georgian supporters in the stands. The match at Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium saw a total of 14,000 spectators. The Georgian national team had not received such support in away games, except for matches in the European championships. Moreover, the number of foreign fans was also a record for the Armenian side.
Georgian fans also paraded through the streets of Yerevan with flags and songs. Following the match, social media was abuzz with discussions about the warm atmosphere and the hospitality of the Armenian side, despite the home team's loss with a score of 0:3.
Armenia's head coach, John van 't Schip, stated during a pre-match press conference in Tbilisi that the Armenian national team would do everything possible to achieve revenge against Georgia. “We are prepared now, just as we were quite ready in Yerevan; we just made three serious mistakes that cost us three goals. Of course, the Georgian team displayed more mature football in Yerevan. Now, our players' current condition and capabilities are becoming clearer. We will do everything tomorrow to achieve revenge. But I must emphasize again that we need time to correct our mistakes and approach the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, which start in September, much better,” he said.
Team forward Arthur Serobyan also highlighted that some things didn’t work out in the Armenia-Georgia match, but they are ready for tomorrow's game and have come to correct the mistakes. He assured that they would dedicate maximum effort to the field to achieve a positive result.
