Snow, Fog, Closed and Impassable Roads in Armenia

The Rescue Service reports that there are closed and impassable roads in the territory of Armenia. The roads from the "Amberd" high mountain meteorological station to the Kar Lake and Amberd Fortress are closed in the Aragatsotn region.

The Dilijan serpentine roads are closed for heavy vehicles. The serpentine roads of Spitak and Stepanavan are closed for heavy vehicles and impassable for other types of transport. Fog is present in the highlands of Syunik.

Snow has fallen in the Lori and Shirak regions, as well as in Hrazdan, Abovyan, Charentsavan, Tsaghkadzor, Gavar, Vardenis, Jambarak, Berd cities, and in the regions of Talin, Aparan, and Aragats.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.

Regarding Lars, according to information received from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs' Emergency Department and the Russian Emergency Ministry's North Ossetia crisis management center, the Stepanstminda-Lars road is closed for all types of vehicles.
