Aircraft Crashes and Explodes During Air Show

During an air show in the Republic of South Africa, an aircraft crashed to the ground and exploded right before the eyes of the audience. At the Saldanha Airport, during the West Coast Air Show, an Impala Mark I turbojet aircraft lost control after performing several aerobatic maneuvers and fell to the ground. The aircraft exploded on impact. The pilot was unable to eject and died at the scene.

Videos of the tragic incident are being shared on social media. Fortunately, no members of the audience were injured. The causes of the crash are currently unknown, but an investigation into the incident has already begun.
