This is a Historic Decision for Germany: Baerbock
Germany has made a historic decision to increase aid to Ukraine by 3 billion euros in 2025. This was stated by Germany's Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock.
“It is also important that, in addition to investments in security and infrastructure, which are foreseen in the main law, we are finally allocating an additional 3 billion euros to support Ukraine in 2025. This means that Germany will continue to provide 7 billion euros to Ukraine, as it did last year,” she said.
According to her, on March 18, an amendment will be made to the German Constitution that will allow for a significant increase in debt for defense financing and will provide substantial support to Ukraine.
“This is a powerful signal that Germany takes its own security, Ukraine's security, and Europe's security seriously. Our contribution to the European landscape, which we will declare tomorrow in the historic decision in the German Bundestag, is something we have never done on such a scale before,” Baerbock emphasized.
