Lilit A.
Hungary's Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has presented 12 demands to the EU. "What does the Hungarian people demand from Brussels? Let there be peace, freedom, and unity," Orbán stated at the beginning of his list of demands.
The complete list of demands is as follows:
- “We demand a Europe of nations.”
- “We demand equality before the law for all member states.”
- Restore the powers unlawfully seized from the states.
- National sovereignty and a strong veto right for national governments.
- “Expel the agents of Soros from the Commission and remove corrupt lobbyists” from the European Parliament.
- “Do not mortgage our grandchildren's future” and eliminate EU debts.
- Do not interfere with the work of Hungary's national guard in protecting the country's borders and in deporting migrants arriving illegally in the EU.
- Dollar and euro acquired through corruption should not enter EU countries.
- Prohibit “the unnatural re-education of our children.”
- Protect Europe’s Christian heritage.
- “We demand peace in Europe.”
- “Unity, but without Ukraine.”
It should be noted that the EU has yet to respond to Prime Minister Viktor Orbán's 12 demands.
