It’s Madness: Canadian Prime Minister

Canada's new Prime Minister Mark Carney has announced that the country will not join the United States, as reported by CBC on Friday.

“It’s madness. His idea is insane. That’s it,” said Carney when a journalist asked for his opinion on U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio's statements.

Previously, former President Donald Trump had repeatedly expressed the notion that Canada should become the 51st state of America. In response, Carney stated, “Canada will never, in any form, become part of America.”

The new leader of Canada’s Liberal Party, Carney assumed the position of Prime Minister on Friday. He is expected to call for snap parliamentary elections later this year.
