They Stand Like Spies at Our Borders Day and Night: Aliyev

The European observation mission is essentially an EU "intelligence mission," stated Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev during the opening of a global forum in Baku. Local media has reported on his remarks.

"They stand like spies at our borders day and night, looking for convenient gaps to reach us. We have sufficient intelligence data regarding this selective monitoring mission," he noted.

It is worth mentioning that in January, ambassadors from EU countries approved a decision in Brussels regarding the EU civilian mission in Armenia, allowing European observers to remain in Armenia’s border regions for an additional two years, until February 19, 2027.
