Peace Agreement Ready for Signature: Armenia's Foreign Ministry
The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a statement:
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia has communicated through diplomatic channels to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan that the Republic of Armenia accepts Azerbaijan's proposals regarding the two uncoordinated articles of the draft 'Agreement on Establishing Peace and Inter-State Relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan' and has suggested issuing a joint statement about the agreement on the text of the Peace Agreement and the completion of negotiations on coordinating the draft.
Official Baku preferred to make a unilateral statement. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia confirms the fact of the agreement on the draft of the 'Agreement on Establishing Peace and Inter-State Relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan' and the completion of negotiations on coordinating the draft. Thus, the Peace Agreement is ready for signature. The Republic of Armenia is ready to begin consultations with the Republic of Azerbaijan regarding the timing and location of the signing of the Agreement.”
It should be reminded that earlier, Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov had stated that Armenia and Azerbaijan had completed negotiations on the peace agreement.
