Citizens of Armenia Perceive the State as an Alien Entity, Says Pashinyan

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that the agricultural insurance system needs to be saved due to unhealthy processes. According to him, there are people who are aware that certain areas experience hailstorms every year, who then buy insurance and wait for the hailstorm to come to receive compensation.

In the ideological section of the concept of 'Real Armenia,' when we talk about a caring society, one of the attributes is that when we pave a road, the first task for the following week should not be to lay pipes over the same road. Or, when a micro-enterprise system is being implemented, the first thought should not be, 'What a good thing, let's split the company into 7 parts, and take 7 pieces...'. This is, in fact, a deep fundamental socio-psychological problem,” he emphasized.

Thus, the government approved a state support program for the implementation of a trial program for the introduction of the agricultural insurance system in the 2025 agricultural year. According to Pashinyan, the citizens of Armenia perceive their own state as some foreign entity.

“We need to go and talk to people; the problems we have discussed in closed meetings must be shared with the public. This year, we will manage somehow; last year we managed somehow; this year, we will manage again. Well, we might also manage next year, but if this trend does not change, we’ll have to say, ‘The end,’” the Prime Minister noted.
