US and Ukraine Negotiations Will Be a Turning Point, Says German Foreign Minister

The negotiations between the US and Ukraine in Saudi Arabia are set to be a turning point on the path to peace. This was announced by German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock.

“The outcome of today’s negotiations between Ukraine and the United States could become an important turning point in Ukraine’s pursuit of sustainable peace and security. Germany, along with our partners, will support the Ukrainian people on this path,” she wrote on her X account.

On Tuesday, negotiations took place between the US and Ukrainian delegations in Jeddah. They lasted about nine and a half hours.

As a result of the talks, a joint statement was published on President Volodymyr Zelensky’s website, indicating that Ukraine is ready to accept the US proposal for a 30-day ceasefire, while Washington will immediately lift the halt on intelligence provision and resume assistance to Kyiv.
