Russia Sees No Basis for Peaceful Resolution, Peskov Says
The Russian authorities currently see no grounds for a peaceful resolution to the Ukrainian conflict, as today's talks between Washington and Kyiv did not lead to any clear or understandable results. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia.
“No, not yet,” he emphasized in response to journalists' questions about whether the Kremlin has information on constructive outcomes from the meeting of the Ukrainian and American delegations.
It is worth noting that negotiations between the United States and Ukraine began today in Jeddah. The White House was represented by Secretary of State Mark Rubio and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz. The Ukrainian side included Foreign Minister Andrey Sibigyan, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, and Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andrey Yermak. Waltz mentioned that the talks are “making progress,” but declined to provide further details.
