The spokesperson for the US State Department, Tami Bruce, announced that the United States is feeling very optimistic after the meeting between American and Ukrainian delegations in Saudi Arabia. In a post on X social media, she stated that "fantastic news for humanity may emerge." Therefore, the mood is described as "very optimistic."

“We understand what is at stake,” she remarked, commenting on the ongoing negotiations. The meeting of the delegations from the two countries took place in the city of Jeddah. From the American side, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz participated. The Ukrainian delegation in Jeddah is represented by the country’s Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha, Head of President Volodymyr Zelensky's Office Andriy Yermak, and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.
