Cruel Treatment of a Stray Dog: What is Happening in Gyumri

An anonymous user has posted a video on the Facebook page "Animal Lovers in Gyumri," showing men torturing a stray dog while placing it into a car. The video has sparked outrage among animal welfare advocates.

Auroranews learned that the dog was transported by employees of the "Animal Care Center" municipal organization. According to their Facebook page, a sterilization campaign was conducted in Gyumri from February 24 to March 8, during which 186 stray dogs were taken to the clinic.

During this period, 136 dogs were sterilized and vaccinated against rabies, while 38 dogs were revaccinated. Furthermore, 12 dogs were euthanized, of which 4 were diagnosed with Leishmaniasis, 4 with plague, 3 with terminal illnesses, and 1 with uncontrollable aggression. The work is currently ongoing.
