Boy Looked Back and Jumped Down: Details from the Incident at Jraveh School
New details have emerged regarding the incident where a student fell from the third-floor window at Jraveh School. This was reported by NEWS.am.
In an interview with the media, the school principal Lilith Vardanian stated that the incident occurred during a geography class for the 7th grade. The teacher told three boys to close the windows due to construction work outside, as dust was filling the classroom. According to the principal, the three boys approached the windows, and during this time, one of them climbed onto the windowsill. The teacher warned him that such antics were not acceptable and told him to get down, but the boy looked back and jumped down.
“He jumped voluntarily; no one pushed him. The school cameras recorded how he fell feet first and landed on pipes at the construction site,” the principal said, adding that this student had not had any problems at school.
The principal speculated that there may have been issues at home and also suggested that the boy might have had an addiction to video games. She added that the student is currently in the hospital, with two fractures in his leg and a tear in the frontal area. At this moment, his life is not in danger.
The Investigative Committee informed Auroranews that a criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident under the characteristics of Article 247, Part 1 of the Criminal Code.
