Trump: 'I Never Said That'

Donald Trump stated that he "cannot believe he called Zelensky a dictator." He made this remark during a conversation with reporters at the White House at the beginning of a meeting with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, although he added that his relationship with the Ukrainian president has "certainly worsened."

The U.S. president also told reporters that the United States has made "good progress on reaching a peace agreement" and believes that the agreement regarding the extraction could be seen as a "protective mechanism" for Ukraine.

"President Zelensky will come to see me on Friday morning. And we are planning to sign a really important agreement for both sides, as it will allow us to enter that country and work there. 'It will effectively become a security mechanism,' Trump said.

Earlier, Donald Trump had posted on Truth Social stating that the moderately successful comedian Volodymyr Zelensky convinced the United States to spend $350 billion to engage in a war that could not be won, a war that should never have started, but a war that he, without the U.S. and Trump, could never finish. Trump wrote that without elections, dictator Zelensky must act quickly, or nothing will remain in his country.
