Ruben Vardanyan and Others are Being Brutally Tortured: Tatoyan

“Ruben Vardanyan and all of our other hostages and captives are being brutally tortured through artificial Azerbaijani trials, aimed at the revenge of the Azerbaijani authorities, solving political issues, self-assertion at the expense of the dignity of the Armenian people, undermining our national consciousness, and deepening the tensions and divisions among us. This was written by the former Human Rights Defender of Armenia, Arman Tatoyan.

These 'trials' are necessary for the Azerbaijani authorities to legitimize their politically false claims, to cleanse themselves of ethnic cleansing in Artsakh, and to create grounds for aggression against Armenia.

Ruben Vardanyan, Bako Sahakyan, Arkadi Ghukasyan, David Ishkhanyan, Levon Mnatsakanyan, David Babayan, David Manukyan, Arayik Harutyunyan, and our other compatriots must be released immediately; every minute and hour they are kept in captivity constitutes a serious crime.
