EU Allocates Funds to Continue Protests in Georgia
The EU leadership has allocated funds to support protests in Georgia with the aim of returning the country to the path of democracy and European integration, reports the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service.
According to the statement, the European Union intends to do everything possible to bring Georgia back onto the path of democracy and European integration, as reported by TASS.
The agency notes that the EU considers Georgia to be an important stronghold of Western influence in the South Caucasus and cannot afford to lose it.
The statement also reveals that the EU has allocated significant resources to the representation in Tbilisi to support and coordinate the protests. These actions are aimed at demonstrating the stability of pro-European sentiments among the Georgian population.
It is expected that participants in anti-government protests will receive up to 120 euros per day for their participation. Furthermore, the same source indicates that if the Georgian authorities attempt to block financial channels, the EU will consider the possibility of delivering cash to Tbilisi through the embassies of EU countries in Armenia.
