Current Situation on Roads in Armenia

The Rescue Service informs that there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads in Armenia. The roads leading from the "Amberd" high mountain meteorological station to Karch Lake and Amberd Fortress in the Aragatsotn region are closed.

The Berd-Jambarak highway is closed for all types of vehicles. The Spitak bends, the section known as "Zanger" from the Jermuk junction, and the road from the Erazh village turn to the Vayots Dzor region are closed for freight trucks. The Vardenyats Pass is difficult to navigate for freight trucks.

In the Shirak region, the intercommunity roads in Geghanist, Mantash, and Arevshat villages, as well as the roads from the Shaki checkpoint, Noravan-Ltsen, from the Syunik village to Shinhair-Tatev-Goris, and from Megrit's "Vardan's Gorge" section to Kajaran are closed for trucks with trailers, and difficult to navigate for other types of vehicles.

The Alagyaz-Artik, the road from the M-3 highway to Lernapar, as well as intercommunity roads in the regions of Amasia and Ashotsk, Tashir-Dashtadem, and Tashir-Katnarat are difficult to navigate for all types of vehicles.

There is black ice in some areas of the highways in Aragatsotn, Gegharkunik, and Syunik provinces. Snow is falling on the Saravan-"Zanger" highway and in the Aragats region (blizzard). Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
