Ruben Vardanyan's Condition Has Deteriorated Sharply: Details

After a week of hunger strike, Ruben Vardanyan's health is in serious danger. He has lost 6 kg, his blood pressure has reached a dangerous level of 140/110, and his heartbeat significantly exceeds the norm. Despite this, he was forcibly taken to court, where all requests to postpone the hearing were denied, allowing him to participate only while seated.

This was reported by his lawyer, Jared Genser. Genser stated that forcing his client to participate in the trial under such conditions is a cruel and inhumane treatment. He has called on international organizations to urgently demand Vardanyan's entry into prison and has also called for permission to allow an international doctor to examine Vardanyan, as well as to postpone the trial during the hunger strike.

Genser has urged world leaders, including Armenia's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, to condemn this politically motivated process.
