The Republican Party Does Not Participate in Processes Driven by Azerbaijan – Mamikonyan

Representatives of the executive power, both Ms. Arpine Sargsyan and Ms. Srbuhi Galayan, did not respond to many of my questions. This was stated today during a conversation with reporters by the head of the 'Honorary Right' faction of the National Assembly, Hayk Mamikonyan.

'Ms. Galayan did not respond to the issues I raised regarding political prisoners, including Armen Ashotyan, Mlyan, the mayors, Narek Samsonyan, Vazgen Sahakyan, Edgar Ghazaryan, and others. Meanwhile, Ms. Sargsyan's response that an investigation is underway can last for years. I do not believe that the brutal use of force against peaceful protesters can remain undisclosed for years. These are issues that need to be raised, regardless of the format. It is the duty of any opposition MP in front of their voters and the citizens of the Republic of Armenia,' he said.

Regarding the offer from Justice Minister Galayan to join discussions on constitutional reforms, Mamikonyan stated that the Republican Party does not participate in processes that are fake, fabricated, and in some cases prompted by Azerbaijan.
