Dust Storm Expected in Some Areas

A number of regions are experiencing strong winds at speeds of 17-20 m/s, causing dust storms in certain areas. This was reported by the Meteorological and Monitoring Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia.

“Dear citizens, currently in several regions of the republic, including Syunik, Gegharkunik, Lori, Kotayk, and Aragatsotn, strong winds with a speed of 17-20 m/s are being observed, leading to dust storms in some areas. The wind intensity is expected to continue intermittently until the evening of February 27. We urge to travel through the roadways in these regions only when absolutely necessary,” the statement said.
