Blizzard, Black Ice: Which Roads to Avoid

As of February 25 at 20:00, snow is falling in the regions of Talin, Ashotk, Abovyan, Hrazdan, Vayk, Sisian, Kapan, Aparan, Aragats, and Sevan. This information is provided by the Road Department foundation.

The roads from the Jermuk intersection to Kapan and the Vardenyats Pass are closed to heavy and towing vehicles. The M-2 Tatev-Shinahyr road segment and the Ttujur-Navur road are closed to all types of vehicles.

There is a blizzard on the Harjis-Shinahyr road segment. A blizzard is also reported on the Alagyaz-Geghadir roads and from the Sevan Peninsula to the beginning of the Dilijan tunnel.

On the roads of Ashotk, Amasia, Gavar, Tashir, Aparan, Aragats, Artik, Sisian, Goris, and Vardenis regions, as well as in the Martuni-Vardenis and Tigranashen-Zangakatun road segments, there is black ice in places.

The other interstate and republican roads are open. Road construction workers are carrying out cleaning and treatment with salt and sand on the roads.
