Troops to Be Deployed in Ukraine Without NATO Participation

Western plans regarding Ukraine include the potential deployment of European forces, but without NATO participation. This was stated by U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Benczak during a Fox News broadcast.

“From my understanding, this will be a military decision by Europe, but not by NATO. This is where we will start,” he said in response to a question about the possibility of American troops participating in a potential peacekeeping mission in Ukraine.

He noted that U.S. President Donald Trump's upcoming meetings with French President Emmanuel Macron on February 24 and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on February 27 will specifically address these issues.
