The Border with Russia Will Remain Closed, Says Finland's Minister
Finland is not planning to open its border with Russia. This was announced by Finland's Minister of Defense Antti Kaikkonen. According to him, Helsinki expects Moscow to attempt to redirect "migrant flows" to border areas.
"The border will remain closed. We have grounds to believe that Russia may again use migration as a tool of pressure," the minister clarified. Kaikkonen emphasized the need to strengthen security measures, including the control of infrastructures, real estate transactions, and border areas.
