In the US, it is believed that Zelensky missed Trump's 'great plan'

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made thoughtless statements at the Munich conference and significantly worsened relations with Washington regarding a financial deal. This was stated by U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Basset during a broadcast on Bloomberg television.

“Zelensky, unfortunately, escalated the situation... Many of his remarks in Munich, I think, were inappropriate... President Trump actually had a great plan to bring Ukrainians closer to the U.S., saying, ‘Let’s sign this economic deal’... and then telling the Russians, ‘Let’s go to the negotiating table’,” he said.

Previously, Trump referred to Zelensky as a “dictator without elections” and supported the need for elections to be held in Ukraine. According to the American leader, Zelensky's approval rating has fallen to 4 percent.
