Due to Heavy Snowfall, Some Roads Are Impassable

The Road Department reports that as of 8:00 PM, snow is falling in the regions of Abovyan, Hrazdan, Sevan, Dilijan, Jambarak, Aparan, Aragats, Spitak, Vanadzor, Stepanavan, Artik, Amasia, and Ashotsk.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed to vehicles with trailers, while other vehicles face difficulties in passage.

Due to heavy snowfall and low visibility (10-15 meters), the road sections from Alagyaz to Tsilk’ar and from Alagyaz to Geghadir are impassable for all types of vehicles.

In the Ashotsk and Amasia regions, heavy snowfall is also reported on the roads in the sections of Horum-Artik-Metzn Mantas and Kuchak-Mirak.

Other interstate and national roads remain open.
